TORONTO – AthletesCAN, the association of Canada’s national team athletes, released the following statement, following the conclusion of the Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton (BCS) Annual General Meeting on Sunday.
AthletesCAN supports the election of new BCS President Tara McNeil and we applaud our members for their resiliency in standing up for the athlete voice. This is a long and overdue change that will finally allow bobsleigh and skeleton national team athletes to begin turning the page and rebuilding the safe and supportive culture that they deserve on a daily basis.
We look forward to observing these continuing efforts over the coming months.
