AthletesCAN and Respect Group are pleased to offer Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders training to Canada’s senior national team athletes. This partnership will provide AthletesCAN members with access to free education to recognize, understand and respond to issues of bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination and to help athletes create a safe, healthy and respectful environment.

ELIGIBILITY

Training will be available to senior national team athletes from over 60 sports. Eligible athletes must be members of AthletesCAN to access training. National Sport Organizations will be able to track program completion by their members through an online portal supported by Respect Group to ensure compliance.

"Athletes are at the centre of all sport and educating them on the prevention of maltreatment should be a top priority. Furthermore, our National level athletes are the true leaders within their sport community so, in my mind, the need the tools to be well-informed role models."
